Since its inception in 1984, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan -- a chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America -- serves thousands of people in the Michigan community through its important wish-granting mission. There are more than 500 medically eligible Michigan children awaiting their true wishes. The Foundation has granted more than 6,800 wishes in its 28-year history. More than 80% of the Foundation’s expenditures are directly related to program services (wish granting). The Michigan chapter has a 100% local mission serving the region at the grassroots level.
